I went for 2 years without it but once I tried it, I loved it. The pillow doesn't get hot so is comfortable when the Biomat

The Biobelt is worn around the body and heats up to 140 degrees. Note: the main reason I use this is to heat the probiotics in my gut. My goal is to always have 3 to 5 lbs of aerobic bacteria in my gut. This is when I promote this type of mat.

I do NOT sleep on my Biomat on a high heat level. Seriously, do people are so short on time and can't do their session during the day they want to sweat during their sleep. Many people just turn their mat on medium and do a slow sweat at night. If the body temperature is too high while one sleeps, the body can't release so much human growth hormone which is what is used to repair the cells. So, to counteract that, the body releases cortisol, the stress hormone, and it will remain high all night and cause insulin to spike super high at night. This nighttime spike is not what I recommend. The body is in fight or flight mode instead of a healing time. The body also in this homeostasis mode will store fat instead of burn it. Plus, any waste that was burned during sleep that has not been pumped out through the lymphatic system can make me feel sluggish when I wake up. There are certain ways to use these mats and I urge people to know what to do before, during, and after their sessions.
