Many people aren't ready for this protocol. Sweat glands cannot be blocked. Those with inflammation will most likely get a heat rash and have a burning sensation during a session like this. Arms must be apart so sweat can evaporate. A body scrub might be necessary to open up the sweat pores. Most people wanting to do this have a low level of fitness and will find this hard to do. Notice to people considering doing an 18 hour a day detox. Please make sure you are a candidate for this. The clinic in California that people fly in from around the country has told me to not advise people on this protocols. Gerson Therapy is also mandatory to do this cleanse. Please consult with a professional if doing this protocol. Also it is advised to have someone you can depend on to make sure you follow protocol when you are half asleep and in a daze. Things can become very unclear and distorted during this cleanse.

Sleep: If you ever woke up at the correct time to notice...you will notice that all the birds start chirping and almost every living animal starts moving and making noise when the sun comes up. This is regulated by the Pineal gland.

If you live in harmony with nature you would wake up at this time too. We need to go to bed between 10pm and 2am. This is when our cells rebuild. You will have a natural tendency to wake up when the sun comes up if you follow this sleeping schedule. Ideally, you should not change quickly. Our bodies need to re-adapt to waking up at 6am or when the sun rises. All nature wakes up when the sun comes out. If you are waking up after 7am then you are not in harmony with nature. Oversleeping is not good for us also.

There are several tools such as a humidity meter, a forehead thermometer, pH strips and other tools depending on how someone is doing the 18 hour session. I strongly advise learning the basics of infrared and how it works with your body ecology before starting an intense series of long hour sessions like this.

Note: when doing the 18 hour a day treatment, I do not go over a certain temperature. This is not about staying in and heating core body temperature above 102° F. It is only healthy to do this as long as the body can handle it. Some people go up to 103 to 104 but if not supervised there can be problems. Many protocols need to be taken if doing that. A controlled fever can only be safe if done with the right protocols. Many times during the longer session, I taken enough fluids and electrolytes, I have cold compresses (this is definitely something I need), and at least 1 enema during the 6 hours I am awake when not in the sauna for 18 hours. I want to keep my core temperature up but not go over a certain temperature. During very deep cleanses my body doesn't always regulate my fever by sweating. I always recommend starting slow and working up to longer session times. Many times people don't always get a fever the first few times doing their sessions. Keep this in mind.
