The BioMat Professional
The Professional size is what I recommend for those that are going to be doing hourly sessions or full spectrum sessions but not going to bed on it. Many people can't lay on their back for the entire night in one position and like to lay on their side. When many people sleep their legs and arms are off the mat. Note: 80% of the lymph vessels are in the legs. My goal is to keep these as warm as possible especially if doing lipolysis. Fat stores waste and as each calorie is burned it is picked up by the lymph vessels.
If you ever notice hyperactive kids they sometimes can't keep one leg still. If you notice it will almost always be the leg on one side. It's because almost all the lymph vessels are only on one side, not the other leg. I used to be told to be still. These stupid teachers don't know a thing about lymph drainage and it's actually a form of rebounding.
So the professional size is a little shorter and less wide than the Single size. I prefer the single over the professional as the amethyst is just under the urethane. Also, I always get full body coverage since on the professional my arms are not always close to my side. (I get a rash under my armpits when I do long sessions and sweat doesn't get to evaporate because I am trying to keep my arms close. Heating my extremities is also important as heating my core. Many people want to heat their hands and when they are so relaxed their hands are on the leather and not the amethyst.
Note: for those buying the Single size there are pros and cons. They don't have a waterproof pad for the single so I have to put the professional size on it. But, the conduction heat from not having the top fabric layer is way worth the hassle of not having it aesthetic looking with have the mat exposed. I usually put towels around the waterproof cover.
The professional Biomat has about 18 pounds of amethyst. Its rated at the manufacturer at 17.5 pounds. The mat weighs about 28 pounds. The single size has 22 pounds of amethyst and the mat weighs 34 pounds. Not a huge difference in weight but for those that want to get the intense conduction without the top fabric layer, it's more of a personal preference.
Make sure you get the most current Biomat. The new ones come with a purple suitcase. The older ones had a black suitcase. We only sell the latest models.
Most of the Biomats before now have the older label. There have been new upgrades to the latest Biomat. Here is how to tell if you are getting the new or the older model. The Biomat 7000mx has 2 versions. Notice how one Biomat says "Pro" and the other one doesn't. There are 4 other differences if you look really closely. See if you can pick them out.

Biomat Single - High Convection
The single size is about 12 inches wider than the Professional size. In the winter many people will appreciate not having the fabric layer as conduction heat can be something to really look forward to when coming back from the cold or you don't wanna keep your heater on all night and want to get under the covers stay warm.
Note: With the Single size, since it doesn't have the fabric layer, the heat can be turned down lower instead of raising the temperature setting. The lower the setting the more the FIR wavelengths and the higher the temperature, the more near infrared. It is a really big decision to make on getting the professional size and the Single size. This is the water proof cover for the Biomat Professional. I don't bother tying the laces to the back since I am going to take it right off and wash it when I am done.

Changes to the Newest Biomat Professional model:
Top Fabric Layer: it is softer than the older models. They finally made it softer
Amethyst: It is now shinier and ground finer than the stones in the older models. More rounded stones.
Tourmaline: The latest model has a new layer of Tourmaline
Quantum energy layer: The new model has a new quantum energy layer made of peach pit and grape seed powder
Thicker Mat: The new mat is about 8mm thicker than the older Biomat.
Plug: The plug is much thicker and heavier duty.
The BioMat Professional Locations
This size is very common among massage therapists. Getting a massage while all they muscles are warm makes it much easier for the therapist to give a massage. I used to go in the steam room before a massage. I recommend Googling Biomat Massage and maybe a few local places will show up in your area to get a professinal experience with the Biomat.
Some places charge extra and some places don't. Check what they charge before making the appointment. If I know of a massage therapist that has bought one from me in your local area I can refer you to them. These people also sell Biomats and are signed up under me so feel free to buy from them.

The latest Quantum Pad for the Richway Biomat is now purple. The older one was a tan color.
This is the older type Biomat cover. If the Biomat comes with a cover that looks like this, it is not the latest 7000MX. I only carry the latest models. If you are not sure and are getting a used mat or a mat that is not shipped directly from the manufacturer, always ask for the RI number so you can call the manufacturer and verify what edition and model it is.
